My wife's sister & husband was about to have a baby. They clearly needed something that would be unique. My wife made a baby hat while I made the blanket. I'm particularly proud of the chevron pattern. It was the first time I had attempted a complicated crochet pattern. The hat came out pretty amazing too (especially considering how hard hats can be.
